YouBarbershop was created by 25 year barbershopper Mike McGee.  McGee began his barbershop career singing with the Channel City Chorus in Santa Barbara, CA.  In 1990 he joined the International Champion Masters of Harmony and over the course of a decade learned musical skills from Dr. Greg Lyne and Jeff Oxley.  McGee served in several musical positions within the chapter.  In 2000, McGee helped found Pacific Sound from Ventura, CA.  McGee later moved to Florida and directed the Metropolitans from Jacksonville, FL.  McGee has directed chapters from both the Barbershop Harmony Society and Sweet Adelines Intl.

McGee is probably better known as a member of the International Quartet Medalists, Metropolis.  McGee sang baritone for over 10 years with the quartet traveling all over the world performing barbershop music for thousands of people.

McGee currently lives in Tallahassee, FL.  He is the musical director of the Capital Chordsmen and baritone of the 2009 4th place SUN District quartet, Pepper Jackrabbit.
