January 12, 2010 -- YouBarbershop received this stunning news from Rob Menaker this afternoon regarding the status of Masterpiece.

Masterpiece announces that our lead singer, Mark Hale, will be stepping down from Masterpiece to focus on other things.
This will not be an immediate departure, and we will continue to rehearse and prepare for our upcoming performances. Brett Littlefield, Rob Menaker, and Alan Gordon will
soon begin the process of contacting potential replacements, a task with which Mark has volunteered to help. At this time it is unclear whether or not we will be participating in this contest cycle, but we will certainly make any announcements as they come.
We appreciate Mark's musical leadership, and are glad that we will still be able to enjoy more time singing with him, as well as including him in the family as a coach and mentor after the transition.
